Best test to use for early testing?

In your personal opinion, what is the best test to use for early testing? 
How early do you personally start testing, and what was the average time you got your first positive?
Specific brands/where you recommend buying them would be greatly appreciated!

I honestly don't recommend testing before you miss a period but if you feel like you really have to I'd get the cheap pregnancy strip tests that you can get a lot of. I had the wondfos from Amazon. Also I'd start testing around 10 dpo. Implantation happens between 6-12 dpo and HCG doubles every 48-72 hours so the earliest you could get a positive is 9 dpo. The cheap tests would allow you to test everyday starting around 10 dpo and not feel like you are spending a lot of money. Once you get a good line on a cheap strip test then I'd buy the first response tests.

I love my Bird and Be tests! They’re strip tests that catch as low as 10mcg of HCG so just a little more than FRER and sooo much less expensive. I also just prefer a strip when I’m testing early because the plastic guard on the Frer makes me think I’m seeing things.
