Induction.. membrane sweep first?

I am scheduled for an induction at 41 weeks (4/9) if baby boy doesn’t come before then. My midwife said at my next appointment 40w 5d (4/7) they could try a membrane sweep and check my cervix before the induction. She said it would likely make the induction process easier, I would possibly require less meds etc, and obviously maybe make me go into labor before my induction. She has been offering me a membrane sweep since 38 weeks and I have said no thank you. This is something I feel like I should consider if I make it that far, but I’m so nervous about a sweep.. thoughts?
