Crush on older coworker

So I’m 17 (18 in 3 months) and I have a huge crush on my coworker who is 23. I’ve liked him since October and I think there is a really good chance he likes me too. He always lights up when I walk into the store or I work with him, he always jokes around and is just so open around me, and so much other stuff that makes me just like hime even more. He’s told me multiple times before he didn’t have a girlfriend. My mom knows and she thinks he likes me too. Her and my grandma doesn’t care that he is over 18 and all my friends think we would be cute and good together but they want me to wait till I’m 18 to date him

I mean yeah I’ll wait but I’m just worried that he actually doesn’t like me. I feel like we would be really good together and I’ve never felt like this with any other crushes before so ik he is different.
