When to go to L&D

Do you guys stay home until contraction pain is unbearable or just until they become consistent?

Mine never gets consistent and I don’t wait until it gets unbearable lol. Once I know I have contractions that hasn’t stopped I go to the hospital. I don’t want to get caught at home or in the car giving birth. I need the epidural. 😂😂😂

I waited till I could handle the pain anymore,(Which was 5 hours of labor at home). I got to the hospital, and 27 minutes later I had him😅 .

I was like 2 to 3 min apart I had contractions at 11pm milk then by 2 or 3 got stronger then by 5am they got closer so they kept telling me to.hold off at 2am then at 3am then I called at 5am by the time i head to the hospital I was 6cm  already. Which I'm glad I went

Depends on what your pain relief plan is…I’m staying home as long as possible. I want to walk in and push the baby out. I’m not looking to be hooked up to a thousand monitors and made to lay in bed. No Thanks. I was in L&D for 7 mins with my second baby and my goal is similar for my third 💙🙏🏼

For me this all happened at the same time (for both pregnancies). The pain woke me up in the night and they were consistent right away, 5 minutes or less in between,  and unbearable within 20-30 minutes. Meaning, I had to stop whatever I was doing, lean up against the wall and breath through each contraction. So, we pretty much packed up and left right away each time, had my husband call the hospital on the way.

I went because they were 2-3 minutes apart and they sent me home and said when I can’t talk through them then come back.

Call to see what your dr recommends
. It depends on your pregnancy, how fast previous labors were if any, how far away from the hospital or birthing center you live...best to call and let them know your situation 😊
Had I waited until my contractions became unbearable I never would have made it to the hospital, it would have been a roadside car birth!

I was advised to wait until the contractions were coming around every 30 minutes, lasting around 60 seconds and have been like this for an hour before going in. You can always call and they can triage you over the phone and advise if they think you should come in.

I had a contraction app and went to the hospital when the app told me it was time to go lol still labored for 11 hours when I got there

I called to ask. Mine was not unbearable nor really consistent. They were 6-3 minutes apart, but they lastes long, and I do have a really high pain tolerance, sure someone would have said untolerable. Based on my conversation with the triage and location where I lived, they told me when to come in.
