Friends or more?

Okay so there's this guy we are good friends. He always texts me love hearts. He told my best friend that he sorta liked me. He knows I like him because the word went around. I just can't tell if he likes me as a friend or more because he sends me all these cute texts and says cute things to me, and he tells my best friend he sorta liked me. I can't tell if he only likes me because I like him or is just being friendly because he doesn't want to hurt my feelings.
