I’m wondering if anyone else has a child with a rigid/ stubborn personality. We have a speech therapist who has been working with him every other week and she said his speech is good but recommends the developmental therapy for his behavior. He is not good with structured / adult directed play. When she tells him what to do, he sometimes does it but he often wants to play “his way” with the toy. He gets frustrated when he can’t. My husband seems to think that we need to do some kind of developmental or behavioral therapy. I think doing more teacher directed classes and socialization might be the way to go instead since he’s an only child and he’s at my parents house all day while I’m at work where there’s no structure and he can do whatever he wants. Does anyone have any advice or experience they can share? He’s our first so we don’t have any experience with this.
