Hopefully this will help someone else who goes through it. My first pregnancy I had an emergency c section and my second pregnancy I had a pretty normal labor and delivery (last Monday) and a successful vbac. I had no idea what to expect, so when I had insane pain that was getting worse 30 minutes to an hour after I delivered I knew something was wrong. Thankfully my medical team was on top of it and rushed me to the OR pretty much screaming in pain (it was literally worse than my worst contraction). Turns out that I had developed a baseball sized hematoma along my right vaginal wall. Surgery was about an hour and then I was able to head to the recovery room. Recovery has been pretty good since then, but I am so thankful for my nurse and OB who listened to me. My point is: listen to your body and advocate for yourself if you think something is wrong!
