Is there a free online course for medical billing and coding?

I want to become a certified medical biller and coder. I don’t want to shell out thousands in tuition just yet… are there any online free courses or a cheaper option then college ?

Most hospitals will only accept AAPC or AHIMA certifications. I am AAPC certified and yes it is expensive but most employers won’t honor the online schools. You have to have a proctored exam or an associates for AHIMA.

Free classes won’t allow you to become certified . You have to take the accredited courses .

I don't think you can find any classes for 100% free, but you can definitely find classes that are 100% online. Just do a quick Google search and make sure the college providing them is accredited
