How do you know when you’re water breaks? 🤯

I’am 38 weeks pregnant at 5 days I been leaking during night time . been loosing discharge or mucus no signs of contractions! Should I be worried? I don’t have my appointment until this Wednesday. 
Help pleas ! 3 cm dilated .

Does it look like your mucus plug? I had my daughter 6 days ago, and lost my mucus plus 2 days before my water broke. For me, it was obvious. I was laying in bed and felt a really hard pop. When I stood up water would not stoop gushing out no matter what I did. If your think that your water is leaking but hasn’t fully broken, I would go get checked. They will be able to do a swab and determine if it’s amniotic fluid!

If you think it broke I’d go in but it’s not one and done. Your body continues to make fluid so it doesn’t just leak once.
