I would love to get everyone’s insight on this. I had my baby in January of this year. While on maternity leave I asked my boss could I work from home until the baby is older doing to daycare being so expensive. I already have a 3 year old. So daycare would be $440 a week for them together. He told me no, he said “ I can’t tell you yes and tell everyone else no”

I go back to work March 23rd my Coworker asks can she work from home April 7th. Then my boss called me into his office and gave me the option of a $5,000 raise if I stayed in the office or the chance to work from home as well.

I chose the work from home option. After adding $5,000 to my annual income it still wouldn’t help with daycare.

Yesterday made my second week workin from home with my baby. The three year old is still in daycare. Things are going good. I know they won’t be perfect but they’re going good at the moment.

For some reason I feel as I made the wrong decision. But apart of me knows it’s the right one. I won’t miss milestones. I’ll save $1000-$1200 monthly.

Please give me your thoughts and opinions on this.
