After a decade of dealing with this, I will be getting a hysterectomy due to multiple fibroids invading my uterus. My GYN has suggested a total although I thought I could keep my ovaries. At this point my ovaries are fine. Since I had ovarian cyst in the past ( over 8 yrs ago) the doc raised the point that further issues with my ovaries may present and since I am 48 yrs old menopause is already approaching so she would suggest removing them. Anyone with similar experience or advice?
