Do syllables really matter??

I realllly wanna name my daughter Blair Dove, but both names are one syllable and i’ve seen people on this app talk about how syllables really make or break a name. If it does matter, what’s another middle name I could?

Depends on the last name too. Blair Dove doesn’t have a pleasant rhythm on its own, but if your last name was something with multiple syllables, it could work.

It comes to it being a personal preference. I like names that flow and usually the first and middle have a different amount syllables.

Its personal preference, personally i think blair dove is actually really pretty and quite like it. No matter what you name your child you'll always find people that dislike the name so i say if you love the name and it is something you can see yourself loving for the rest of their lives then go for it!

To each his own.  As long as the full na.e sounds natural ehen saying it. The reason we decided to name our son Reid, is because we have a long surname. Both my husband and I have names with one syllable. Previously with my maiden surname also being short, many people said it sounds incomplete.

It matters to me but I don’t think most people notice or care much. Most people also don’t know other’s middle names.

I used to think so but then I named my son and it broke this rule ex: Crew Blake. I still don’t think it flows the best but I love both names so it doesn’t bother me.

I would say it depends on how it flows. Blair Dove sounds really staccato.
