Can mono delay periods?

I had mono last month and was on my period while i had mono. My periods usually last 5 days, but this time it lasted 7. I’m on day 32 of my cycle now and haven’t gotten my period, so my period is 3 days late. I’m also sexually active but always use condoms when i do it. Should i be worried or is this normal?

Being sick can delay your cycle, your body wants to conserve it's energy to fight off whatever is attacking it. BUT since you're sexually active, it's safest to test for pregnancy and rule that out. You never know 🤷🏽‍♀️
