When’s the best time to switch baby into there crib in the nursery?

I think this answer varies between every family. I intended to keep all my babies in their bassinet next to me much longer than they did, but I knew they’d sleep better in their crib in their room with a more controlled environment. My son is 7 weeks old and he’s been in his crib in his room for about 2 weeks now. I have two other little ones that end up crying and coming in our room almost every night and they would wake him up. He’s been sleeping much better in his own room. And I broke down and got a video monitor so that helped my anxieties with it!

We’re moving in about a week 😅. We might keep him in the bassinet in our room for about a week or two but we’ll set up his room with my toddlers old crib and transition over pretty soon. My husband works crazy hours, I snore, he’s noisy- it’ll just be better sleep for everyone and our monitor gives me peace of mind more than anything else to see/hear 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I thought we’d use the bassinet for a long time- but he’s been in his crib now for several weeks, he’s such a noisy sleeper and I would anxiously wake up way too much

We never did a bassinet and just did a crib in our room. Then we didnt have to make the switch later on. We wont move her to her own room until 6ish months.

I always had my babies in their own room and cribs right from when they got home from the hospital, we all slept better and it eliminated them having to be trained to sleep alone
