So I’m 38 weeks pregnant and I chipped a filling and have been in pain the last 2 weeks. I spoke to my obgyn and he recommended I go to the dentist and gave me written consent as to what and what I can’t have done. The dental assistant and Clark made me feel like crap and said I’m lucky I am even being seen since I’m pregnant and that I need to come back after baby is born to have any procedure done. I stated that I have always been told pregnant women should always and be more aware of anything teeth related since infection go to blood steam and hurt baby. And that my Doctor recommended me be seen. Does this sound normal or lazy? Old practice maybe. Super annoying and frustrating I really don’t want to have tooth pain while in labor. Just my luck to have this happen at this time!
