Cbd lotion for babies?

My sleep specialist recommended cbd lotion to me to help with my back and neck pain. I bought two 300mg products and I love them. It’s awesome that something natural is working for me versus having to load myself up with Rx pain medications.
I was reading about the benefits of cbd lotion and I saw that they’re frequently used for treating eczema. My 2-year-old daughter has been struggling with eczema flares, and I’m always looking for new creams to try. Right now her derm is alternating her between two steroids and an otc lotion (Cerave). The eczema prevails aggressively sometimes. 
Anyway, I was wondering if any of you could give me some idea about IF or HOW cbd lotions can be used in children before I discuss it with her derm!

On another note though there are some amazing creams out there for eczema. I know moms have shared some on this app, so you can search the Glow archives for recommendations.

Personally I would not use it. Even safe medications and natural supplements are NOT safe for babies and young children until they are at least 4-6. Cannabis pods are active chemical compounds. We aren’t talking about something benign like shea butter. 
From a medical journal:
“CBD is known to cause sleepiness, fatigue, and diarrhea, and there are reports that it can cause seizures in toddlers.”
“CBD products seen online or in stores are not regulated by the Food and Drug Administration or any other national organization. Because of this, CBD products are frequently mislabeled, and many products can contain very high doses of THC and other contaminants such as pesticides or heavy metals.”
There are some therapeutic uses, best used with a doctor’s direction and discretion.
Essentially you don’t know how much is in there, regardless of labeling, and any substances that are active chemical compounds should be avoided until proven safe in babies and young children.

The problem will be that the dosage is meant for an adult body and a child’s skin will absorb more than is safe. I doubt they make cbd lotion for kids, but if you want to use it I would at least start there. Treat it like medicine, because that’s basically what it is

Cerave Baby is all that works for my girls eczema. Us the Aveeno Baby Eczema Oatmeal Bath. I wouldn't trust a "sleep specialist" for medical advice.
