Is this mom guilt ?

My birthday passed on the 21 and I got some birthday money. I wanted to order myself some new clothes , cause I literally have 5 outfits , as well as clothes for my daughter since summer is around the corner.. but I feel bad for even getting myself anything ! I keep saying that’s a lot of money .. I’ll just get her what she needs and I’ll stick with the stuff I have.

Mine isn’t even here yet and I’m already struggling with this. Every time I almost buy myself something, I always start thinking of how many diapers the price of what I want could buy etc.. From the outside looking in, you still have your own needs and wants. If your baby currently has what they need, it won’t hurt to get yourself something/things you want.

Sounds like it, but remember mom’s deserve to treat themselves too. I don’t have guilt about shopping for myself, but whenever I do try, I can’t find anything I like and end up with baby stuff lol.

Yes, that is Mom guilt. But as long as your child has what she needs and is taken care of, l see nothing wrong with you treating yourself from time to time. You deserve it.

Yep!!  My mom took me shopping for a few things for myself when she was up after baby and it felt so weird.  Clearly it doesn’t stop either because she still spent the day buying for me and only got herself like 1 thing😂

Mom guilt 🤣 currently going through same thing. Do I buy my daughter clothes for summer or do I buy myself new underwear because what I have is either pre pregnancy (too small now), during pregnancy (too big now) or ripped to shreds.

Girl ify. Moms need love / treatment too ! You’ll be spending on baby girl your whole life… it wouldn’t hurt to get yourself something / some things !
