Do you clean your belly button?

I recently found out on Tik Tock that apparently people think it's gross and are surprised to find out that some people have never cleaned their belly button. I was surprised that people have been specifically cleaning their belly buttons! I mean, it makes sense when you can fit your finger in it but I have a tiny innie (can't even fit my pinky in it but a q-tip can fit) that I figured got clean when I washed my body. Apparently you're supposed to use a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol and then a clean side in water. I has no idea and am curious to see if that actually is a thing people have been doing 😳 I recently tried it and almost threw up it was uncomfortable and hurt! I'm not sure why and am also wondering if I should bring that up with my doctor next time I visit....
