Playroom Colour?

I am redoing my house and turning my back room area into a playroom for my kids, but I cannot decide on a colour to paint it.

My struggle is the door we use to get into our house is the back door, so when you walk in through it the first thing you see is the playroom. There’s a little area where I have our coats and shoes then the playroom, so I don’t want a bright obnoxious colour. The flooring is grey hardwood but I am so tired of plain grey walls, I was thinking an off white, but is that too boring? What other colours/ accents could I do to make it fun but still aesthetically pleasing?!
