Did/does your infant sleep in a baby lounger?

Wholly moley I am 37 weeks pregnant and finally getting set up for baby! I have a bed side bassinet I was all but absolutely sure I would be putting a lounger in and I went to purchase one yesterday, I was reading the packaging and it says “not for sleeping”. 🤣🥲 I was like whaaaatttttt in the worlldddddd. I thought for-sure until baby was rolling etc it would be perfectly safe. Well now I’m at a loss for what to do 😅 we got a cheap bassinet and I worry baby will hurt itself on the wood/crib like bars.

Nope. Only supervised naps. My baby has been known to squish is face into the sides of the loungers. It can be so unsafe when unsupervised. I know some people do use loungers for sleep but I absolutely could not risk it with how my baby sleeps. 
I’d recommend getting a thin bassinet mattress to put in your bassinet. They are like 1” thick. Babies don’t need cushy places to sleep.

Baby won’t hurt themselves on the railing, not until they’re rolling around!! But my son, 20 months, has never hurt himself on his wooden crib. And he loves like a madman at night! 
The loungers you need to supervise with as babe can easily roll out or move just right that they can’t really breathe well. I’d skip the lounger myself. I never used one :)

There’s tons of opinions on loungers.
Yes the label says not for sleep. 
I personally bedshared with my baby. For the first few months she slept in the dockatot in the middle of our bed. It worked for us and I liked using it.
Once she could roll a bit I took her out of it and she slept next to me in bed.
Not everyone likes bed sharing either.
It’s all personal preference and what you are comfortable with. It wasn’t my first baby, I am a light sleeper and it’s what I like to do with my babies.
