Is it suppose to smell?

I had a c section almost 2 weeks ago. I obviously still have vaginal bleeding but I noticed a smell. It’s not a super bad smell. More like a period smell but it’s noticeable for sure. Even after a shower I feel like it still smells. Is it normal to experience this?

Period smell is due to the iron in the blood. The same iron that is in the blood that you have right now. Completely normal.

After I had my daughter, I noticed mine smelled very funny too. But i thought it was normal because it was technically different from a period. Then i started getting REALLY bad uterine cramps and i went to the ER and i had gotten an infection in my uterus. After taking antibiotics and the infection went away, i barely noticed a smell. So I would definitely go see a doctor just to be safe. You definitely don’t want to get to the really bad infection point.. it SUCKED!

If you’re bleeding and it smells like period, that would make sense because period is bleeding
