Expired test give false positive?

I took an expired test and got this result , can it be false ? This picture was taken after 2 minutes .

I think that's positive. I had tests that were expired more than a year and still showed me a line and I'm 16 weeks now. Mine were wondfos

GIRL, this was me two months ago. I had an expired pt by like a month; my period was due the next day and I thought what the hell I’ll just use it because it needs throwing out. It came up positive/ pregnant instantly. I’ve been ttc two whole years, I had a melt down thinking it can’t be correct, I was so caught off guard I never test!
I ran to the store, brought some early first response tests, held my pee for 2 hours (as long as I could wait!) and it came out bright positive again.
It’s very very rare you get false positives. Go and buy another one but by that photo I’d say congrats!!! Let me know the outcome. 🥳

I think they say you can still use the tests 6-12months after the expiry date. I might be wrong. But pretty sure if it were to affect the test, you would get a false negative, not a false positive. Congratulations!

I looked into this too. I think a false negative is much more likely than a false positive. Congratulations!
