Labor Complications Question.

Hey ladies!

I was reading my discharge papers (a month later 😂) and under “Diagnosis” they wrote “Labor complicated by cord wrapped around neck.”

When I was in labor they didn’t say anything about this. His head was stuck for a bit because it was massive, but never said anything to me or my husband about a cord. My husband watched quite a bit of the delivery and he didn’t see the cord. But my midwife reached her hands in multiple times to help get the shoulders around my pelvis. Is that a case where she would have possible unwrapped the cord without us knowing??

Super curious if this was common and they don’t mention it to parents if it is something they can fix easily?
