Anyone use Spectra (S1 or S2)?

Having my third baby in April. I've used the Medela PISA and Medela Freestyle. I exclusively pumped for both of my kids and always had low supply.

I've heard great things about the Spectra brand, anyone use Spectra - pros and cons?

I bought the medela pump in style after so much research since it's supposed to be the "best". Well 2 months pp I decided to get the spectra s2 after reading Amazon reviews and I agree it's way better. More comfortable on the nipple the suction is just different from medela in a good way. And it's way quieter almost like a cat purr. And the nightlight is great for those mid night pumps. And I've noticed after say 5 mins I've already pumped like 3+ oz. whereas medela always took at least 15 mins to get a full bottle. I haven't touched my medela since! And I also hacked my medela flanges to fit it.

I like my Spectra. I get the same output from the Medela Symphony I'm getting from my insurance as a loaner and it has a timer and a nightlight. It's much more gentle and feels more like a baby feeding.

I love the Spectra. After three months in the NICU, I became a connoisseur of pumps and it was by far the most gentle and I got amazing output.

Have medela and spectra s2. Love my spectra. Hate my medela. Spectra just has a different pump that works better for my breasts, and I always get more milk from it.

I am wondering this as well. I used the Pump in Style with my daughter but have been hearing great things about the S2 being more quiet and more comfortable while sometimes even releasing more milk.

I have a PISA and I'm getting a spectra for my next one!! I'm also considering renting s symphony for the first two months to get my supply going.

I have both Spectra and Medella. I prefer the Spectra. It is a lot quieter. Also, it has a night light on it so at night I don't have to turn on the over head light. I also think it is more variable with suction as well. The only downfall I have found is after 3.5 months the measurements on the bottles wore off.

I use a spectra s1 and I like it. It only comes with 28mm flanges though, so if they don't fit, you have to buy the extra set, and the only other sizes are 24mm and 32mm. You might want to modify it to use with medela parts.
