5 weeks today. Progesterone?

We miscarried in January-February, and are now 5 weeks pregnant today, my dr wants me to come in to do blood work to check my progesterone levels because of the miscarriage, what exactly will this do?

If your progesterone is low, they will put you on a progesterone supplement. This is very common - after my first MC my Dr immediately but me on progesterone with subsequent pregnancies. I’m now with a fertility clinic and am on progesterone.
