I screwed up at my job, what do I do?
In my job I’m dealing with vendors and clients. I forgot to input a clients order and it was due to deliver 2 weeks ago and realized it when the client asked when it would arrive. Clients typically email you asking for an update a day after they’re due, never this late.
Immediately get it in the system and figured I’d just give them the tracking once I obtained it from the vendor. After back and fourth with the vendor, they tell me it’s severely underweight and they either need to add to it or cancel the order.
My company sets you up with someone who trains you but they’re pretty hands off now unless I have a question. I typically would ask them for advice. Do I let the person training me know that I messed up and just put the order in and it’s underweight or do I contact the client, let them know I forgot to add the order and it’s underweight or just let the client know it’s underweight and if they still want it they have to add to it?
