Right side and back pain @5 weeks. Ectopic?

I’m currently 5 weeks pregnant and experiencing sharp lingering pain on my right side between my hip and rib cage that radiates to my back. Has anyone experienced this before? Google is telling me ectopic?? Any advice is useful.

While I did not have any pain with my ectopic (was caught very very early) I would definitely call your OB/midwife and ask if they can do something to rule it out and ease your mind. Mine was personally discovered first thru bloodwork (wonky numbers) and confirmed with u/s.

Hi sweet, just for peace of mind I had a ectopic last year(pregnant again now), I never had rib pain but I had excruciating pain down below. Rib pain is probably due to changes in your body. If your concerned ring the midwife xxx

So I have experienced all. Ectopic, live birth and a miscarriage. 
I lost my left Filopian tube to an ectopic. The bleeding it caused was unimaginable compared to a period, the pain was very similar to a period as well. The only reason I found out of the pregnancy is because I had been bleeding I took a test. 
With my miscarriage I had light period type pains 
With my live birth I was terrified of any and every thing in my uterus so feeling tugging and little cramps that were one sided scared me especially since they happened to be on the side that had my remaining tube. 
So it’s normal it have a little tugging and cramps
