Already feeling down about having been TTC for 2 years. We are at a Christmas party and my mother in law is introducing my husbands siblings and him to her friends we haven't meant. She was introducing them and their kids and gets to us and says we have 2 cats and a dog, and we have only been married a few years. As in that's why we haven't had kids yet. Why does that have to be why people don't have kids? Maybe we should just  tell her that we have been trying. It's such an awkward thing to talk about. How do you even tell someone that? My mom knows but that's my mom. I just feel like my MIL is oblivious. And we are the only ones from the family yet to have kids.
