HSG pushed off because of a miscarriage?

Oh boy, here we go. So I had an ectopic in January/February treated with Methotrexate, everything went fine. Waited the 2 cycles and called to schedule an HSG, the OB office said the DR said it wasn't necessary and never put in an order. So I stopped caring about being protected during sex and ending up having an early miscarriage this past week. Bleeding seemed off so I figured better safe than sorry and got checked again, everything has passed and looks good. Now he says he wants to do the HSG again, BUT that I have to wait another 2 months. I don't understand generally any of the reasoning as to the wait, I wasn't quite given any reason either. If I shouldn't have even known I was pregnant and everything has passed, why the 2 month wait? I understand waiting a cycle but 2? The whole thing since I've been seeing him has been a mess. I have 2 different appointments with 2 different OBs to try and find one that I fit better with. Also, I'm a nurse, not an OBGYN nurse but I understand enough. It is just as simple as explaining it to me and he gave me nothing. Anyone else go through this and maybe have an explanation
