can i get legally fired for calling off if my child is sick?

my son has RSV i missed 3 days last week and luckily my dad could watch him today and tomorrow he is still very sick and i told my manager i might not be able to come in wednesday- friday she said if you have to call out don’t come back.

Unfortunately showing up to work unless it’s an emergency is required to keep any job that can’t be done from home. They don’t care if your kid is sick (it sucks I know!!!)
Missing 3-6 days in a two week time period could easily lead to termination 
You have to find childcare however possible so that you can keep your job. 
A sick kid isn’t an emergency unless in the hospital.

In a lot of states yes.   They can literally fire you for no reason.   In my state they do not have to have or state a reason for firing you.

Most likely yes. Many companies have in their policy if you have excessive absences you can be terminated. Normally you would be okay with a doctor's note but you're not sick your child is. Unfortunately many employers don't care about childcare issues.
