So I’ll be graduating with a bachelors degree on May 17th. My school is 3 hours away from my hometown. I have quite a bit of friends down here and I have my fiancé as well. I want to stay here and enjoy the rest of my day, since it is my day, but according to my mom I have to drive all the way back home so my grandma can have a ride because she’s afraid to drive herself due to her car possibly breaking down but it’s a 2008 and to my knowledge has never had issues. My mom has a conference for her job the day after my graduation, so she has to stay down here that night in a hotel and will be here for a few days. I have other family members coming, I just don’t understand why on my day I’m volunteered by my mother to have to drive all the way home. I was going to stay with my fiancé the night of graduation and just go home that morning. I’m 22 and 18 weeks pregnant and I would just like to feel like an adult and feel like it’s okay to say no and do what I want to do since I’m always putting everyone first. Am I rightful to be upset? I just want to be able to enjoy my day and enjoy my huge accomplishment.
