Can you tell me about a spiritual experience you had?

Any type is fine, not specifically religious or non-religious, just a story of something that feels spiritual to you.

2015, l was a freshman in college. At the time, a friend l ran track with stopped by my dorm room “to see why l wasn’t at a party”. 🙄 After an hour of trying to leave my room and fighting him off from trying to rape me, when he picked me up and laid me down on my bed, l looked up to ceiling. I said “God” out loud, started to cry, l felt this force enter and exit my body, and l then l said “okay” in my head. Not even three minutes later, my roommate came to our room and saved me. After experiencing that force in my body, l felt like God was saying something like “Hold on Destiny, my hands are wet. Let me dry them off and l’ll be there.”
2016, l was a sophomore in college. One night, l was out with a group of girlfriends at a party having a blast. But out of nowhere, this feeling came over me and l froze. I grabbed my roommate and told her l didn’t know exactly why, but l had to go check on one of our friends who had stayed in. When we got to his apartment, he was crying because he just found out his Grandma had died.

This is such a weird thing and as an atheist it has given me such feelings of… embarrassment almost? But my sister died six years ago after a short but aggressive illness. I was with her when she died and there was an INCREDIBLE sunrise coming up that I could see through the window in her hospital room. Then we had an absolutely bonkers sunset the day of her funeral. And now every time I see a really stunning sunrise or sunset I feel positively compelled to be like “oh, hi sister!” It feels like a sign from her? But intellectually I think it’s ridiculous. I’ve decided to just go with it, know that we all need comfort in our grief and however we find that, it’s a win 💜

When I was 18 my best friend drowned! (Couldn’t swim)
Anyway at this time I was in with the wrong crowd of people and heading down a wrong path. My best friend always said to me get out lou before it’s too late he always said to me “You are the brains of the group don’t stay on this path”. He died on a Thursday and somehow that Sunday evening something in my mind told me I need to go to this girl in my village and ask does she want to hang out (I only ever spoke to her in passing before). I went down to the village got some cigarettes (I smoked at that time) knocked into the girls house asked her did she want to go for a walk around the village and from that day on my life changed for the good my now best friend have been friends for over 13 years. To this day I swear it was my friend who drowned telling me it’s ok to be friends with her and this is how you are going to change your life and get out of the crowd I was in. 
Sorry for long post. Even when times are tough I sometimes get this feeling that he is still near me and watching me and given hits he is there.

Week little white feathers have floated infront of me…even in my bedroom (don’t know how they would get there) I would love too believe it was a sign or something but I’m very sceptical 🤷‍♀️

My gram used to always say “when I come back I’ll be a red bird” she loved cardinals. When I moved into our hours there used to be one in our tree pretty often and it wouldn’t fly away if I went by it. The day I found out I was pregnant it sat on the railing of our porch and looked in the kitchen window at me all day. I felt like something was telling me to test so I did and it was positive and when I went back to the kitchen the bird was still there. It was weird and I still see the bird outside our house all the time I always feel like she sends it to check on us.

I took up meditation a couple of years ago. I was an atheist, i just started meditating for secular reasons, for calmness and clarity. I also started reading up a bit on eastern philosophy at the time. Eastern philosophy leans towards nonduality, or the concept that the all is one, there's no separation between self and every other living thing.
I've experienced that a couple of times. One time happened last year, quite randomly. I was sitting outside staring up at the trees and all of a sudden I could just see it, that there was no separation between myself and everything else. I felt at one with everything and then i felt this burning in my belly that I can only describe as divine love. 
Then a few weeks ago I gave up all social media and television and tried to become completely present during every second of my day. And I felt it again, that feeling of oneness and divine love burning inside of me. This time it was a state I was able to sustain for a few days.

When my partner and I were very young 19 to 22 we were pretty bad off on pills. Perks. And once we built a tolerance we started shooting heroin 😞. We had moved out of his parents and into apartments with a drug dealer. We were really really bad off....and sicker than a mofo once early morning came. It was a AWFUL cycle. And then one day a voice inside of me said "Ashley this is NOT the life I intended for you. This is NOT how you are suppose to live. I made you for something better than this. And there are only 2 endings to this life you're living now, jail then death. Think how heartbroken you're mother father brother sister grandma and pappy would be if they knew and saw you like this. Call your mother in law NOW and get out of this place." And I could swear these weren't my own thoughts. I looked at my partner and started crying and told him what was just said in my heart and mind. I told him he needed to call his mom now to come pick us up because I couldn't and wouldn't live like that anymore. I told him I wanted him to do the same because I love him but i couldn't be with him if he choose to stay or continue. He called his mom right then and there. His mom picked us up and we stayed with them while we saved our money and got a vehicle and then our own apartment. We are still together and never touched drugs again. I still cry thinking of that moment. It was so powerful and even though I felt embarrassed and ashamed, I also felt this intense love for me and my partner. I never went to church and was raised that God wasn't real. My parents and family are 5 hours away and still don't know that I was addicted to drugs. I never talk about this honestly. But I'm really amazed because i swear that was God talking to me. And i swear he gave us the strength and courage and also made me HATE drugs so we never relapsed. I'm 31 now and my partner is 32 and we're expecting our first baby. Im terrified for when they get older because I don't want them to ever touch drugs. But I know God loves all of us, wether we believe in God or not, He loves us so much more than we could ever imagine.

My father was my everything. After my mom bailed and we became the black sheep of our families he raised me and he was always my “safe space” so to speak. My husband and I finally got pregnant after 7 years of trying (I’m 36 at this time) and he was so excited to be a grandpa. He died very suddenly from a stroke on May 3, 2021, just ten days before my due date. I went into labor 3 days later and then gave birth to my daughter on May 7. Her name is Payton (important later). He missed being a grandpa by 4 days. I literally had to send him to the crematory the same day I brought my daughter home. Very surreal and I’m still mentally and emotionally learning to cope. 
Come Christmas time, I loved my stocking stuffers best of all when I was a little girl, so much that I had 3 stockings and I still have them to this day. It was very important to me that I get my daughter a Christmas stocking and I just couldn’t find the right one. Combine this with the pressures of nursing school, new motherhood, and my first Christmas without my dad, I was barely holding it all together. 
I was in Walmart, a week before Christmas, scrambling to get last minute items and feeling completely exhausted. Payton is sitting in the shopping cart just smiling and giggling and being amazing. I saw a giant pile of hats, stockings, Xmas clothing etc all just thrown in a heap (they were resetting and condensing Xmas). I suddenly remember she still didn’t have a stocking and I just start BAWLING in the middle of Walmart. People are looking at me like I’m nuts and asking if I’m okay and I’m trying so hard to collect myself. I calm down a bit and go to the pile and see a sweater type of fabric sticking out and I grab it and say out loud “ya know dad, all of this would be a hell of a lot easier if you were here where you should be” and I pull out the piece I had grabbed…and it had a letter “P” embroidered on the top. I LOST IT. I sobbed into that stocking and just thanked my dad over and over and got an overwhelming sense that he decided to help me out and chose my daughters stocking for her so I had one less thing on my plate. That stocking could have been $100 and I still would have bought it. And I will tell Payton at Christmas time how special this stocking is since her grandpa in the stars chose it for her ✨

I used to astral project as a child 😅 Nothing spiritual in the sense of seeing signs or passed loved ones leaving messages. But I would leave my body on multiple occasions as a kid and freak the hell out of myself. I realized there was a name for this, astral projecting like 3-4 years ago && is and how you need to be in a deep state of meditation. Which those times I did as a child I was in a blank stare, usually after a tantrum or a good cry, and I would just stare off into space. First time I kept going back and forth to the corner of my ceiling.  I stayed in my room most of the time ….. but when I left my room I was done, I scared myself. I used to say I must have been sleeping but I vividly remember being awake and consciously doing this 😅

I really wanted to know if spirit guides were real and n decided to ask them if my and my bf were meant to be together. I spent about a month meditating and listening to spiritual music. The. One day I got the answer- I was told that we had chosen dot to help each other grow in this life. I don’t know how to explain that I know it came from my spirit guide but I just know that it did.
