Ok to drink?

Question

Is it ok to drink a energy drink while breastfeeding my 1 month old. I need one I’m so tired I usually drank bang or Celsius before I got pregnant. And when should I breastfeed after how long to wait? I give her formula too so I can wait to breastfeed her again.

I would stick to coffee and water. These types of drinks generally work against you. Giving you a rush and then a crash.

I never limited my caffeine when I was breastfeeding. My girls never had any issues with it. I don’t think one energy drink will matter. I would just be cautious of energy drinks in general though. I’ve always just drank coffee.

It’s generally recommended that a breastfeeding mother stick to 300mg of caffeine (or less) in a day. Check the label and if it’s under that amount you’re good to go!
