Does anyone feel like they might die their first day on their period?

I feel like I may die the first day I get my period. The pain is so immense that I'm taking more ibuprofen than ever, and I'm extremely nauseous. Is this normal?

Try birth control. It may work for you, it may not. But it's totally worth the try!

Yes it's the absolute WORST..(not every month) and only the first day... Those are the slowest days of my life ughhh...birth control certainly did help me.

Yup. I tried birth control and that made it even worse - the pain was so intense that I nearly fainted.

That was a few years ago. I'm trying out a different kind of bc, so we'll see how it goes.

This never worked for me, but my sister and a few cousins swear by it. Make some red raspberry leaf tea and if the pain makes you feel nauseous, add a little bit of ginger to the tea. They said it helped ease their cramping immensely and that it helped relieve morning sickness when they were pregnant. (Just don't drink it in the early stages of pregnancy!)

I also tried some yoga that was supposed to be meant for relieving cramps, but all it really was was me sitting in the fetal position .__. Which I could have done in bed instead of on a yoga mat, but whatever. It didn't really help.

This was me for two years straight. Go to the obgyn and they should be able to help. I went on birth control to help and feel way better

Yes! I even went to the hospital one time because I felt so awful 😖😖😖 talk to your doctor to see if they can give you something to help wether it be advice or a prescription or whatever

yup, so normal! i went on bc three years ago because mine were so bad! it really did help A LOT!! but now im off the pill and it's back to being painful
