Baby sleeping in boppy?

So idk why but my 1 month old baby loves to sleep in the boppy. Nowhere else.. or not even flat in the basinet .. just in that boppy… idk why… i know it says dont sleep in there for a long period of time.. but my newborn loves to in the night only… is it ok? I mean she in a good position not strunch in there ., she can breathe good and okay.  I was just wondering if any moms out there had babies that loved the boppy sleeping in there at night…

No. If a product literally tells you it’s not safe for baby to sleep there, then you don’t let baby sleep there. Sure, naps during the day where you’re watching over are fine. But overnight? Absolutely not.

I know it’s so tempting to do whatever you can to get your baby to sleep longer stretches at night… but these are definitely not safe for unsupervised sleep. They are only meant as “loungers” for your baby to have somewhere comfortable to be placed so you can have your arms free to do other things.

It is not safe for sleep at all. They have to note on the packaging that they are NOT for sleep, lounging only because babies have died while left to sleep in them unsupervised.

I left my son propped on a bobby and he ended up over the back of it because he kicked off with his feet in his sleep.  I had only walked away for a minute to get something and had placed him down quickly. He was only one or two months old at the time. He got stuck in a weird position. Maybe try slightly elevating his crib mattress and see if that helps.

So, I guess this is probably an unpopular opinion but I would say do what works for you. I have 4 children and all their sleeping methods have been a bit different according to what worked for them. My 4th loved to sleep in the boppy. My kids have all napped in the boppy, swing, rockers and car seat. With that being said I check on them a lot during that time. As for night time my 4th child would only sleep on the boppy or with us holding him. My hubby and I have sleep shifts where one is always awake to watch the baby as needed. So, it worked for us but you need to evaluate your personal situation as for the "non safe" sleeping places. All of my babies have also slept on their bellies sooner than recommended. Once they started sleeping on their bellies everyone slept much better. Good luck momma!!
