Question

For those who are somewhat in the middle, do you agree with this? 
I’ve been moderate, slightly left leaning my whole life, but lately leaning more right.  
There are a lot of things I can’t get behind with the Republican Party tho, like I will always support abortion and LGBTQ rights.  This is why i can’t vote red.  But I also feel like the Democratic Party doesn’t really represent the middle class American anymore.

I will say as someone who is more conservative I think there have been times throughout history that this cartoon could have the ‘middle’ or moderate person feel like they could belong differently or more on either side. Our country is very polarized politically right now and congress is chalk full of the worst negotiators we have had in a long time (on both sides). There is a complete resistance to find common ground and logical responses. Many are taking the approach of asking for alignment on the most extreme side of an issue and stacking up bills or legislation with so many hidden separate and loosely related agenda items that it practically guarantees no progress be made. 
I will also say that despite having many great conversations with people who hold opposing views to mine (many on this app that I really enjoy and appreciate), there does seem to be less and less acceptance for questioning any view. There does seem to be more people who take the position that if you don’t 100% agree with a view and question something too much, not only are you wrong for not blankety adopting a view, but your character is open to being insulted.

Incoming rant: TLDR; Division is ruining this country and making us weaker and the two party system is destroying our country. 
 I'll doubt ill ever vote republican unless it's a progressive republican but I've opened my eyes recently to the reality that voting for democrats isn't much better and to be honest? To me it seems like they're both too busy fighting against one another to do their actual jobs so they're both absolutely useless. They care more about being in power than using that power to do good things for the american people. One of the most developed countries on earth and our quality of life is absmal. Republicans rarely use their power for good and Democrats just lie about using their power for good. They don't use their power for good, they just use it to stop Republicans from getting anything done and vice versa. It bugs me because these are people who are supposed to be working to help us and instead they let us suffer. I wish there was an Independent that could run for office but I don't think this country will ever allow a third party to hold any real power. I still lean pretty far left but im so tired of the division because nothings getting done. I've met progressive, sensible, kindhearted republicans so I don't prescribe the idea that "all Republicans are bad" and that we should "Vote Blue No Matter Who". But I do think the republican party has been poisoned by hate and that they need to clean house so that they can be trusted again. And I think democrats need to keep the promises they actually make and people might trust them again. They both suck for different reasons.

I find this comic laughable. There's a very vocal contingent within the republican part that literally pushes out other republicans calling them RINO's. I personally know 6 traditional conservatives that just can't even bring themselves to vote for most republicans anymore. 4 won't vote for democrats either. 2 voted mostly democrat in the last election. Admittedly, these people have choices like Greene and Cawthorne for their reps though.

It’s all propaganda that the politicians have pushed on citizens to choose one or the other. 
Blue or red, left wing or right wing, it’s the same bird, both sides of the same coin. There isn’t a “lesser of two evils”. They are both evil. They took on a role to tax us to death and control our freedoms, and somehow most of us are okay with that.
