PCOS with normal cycles?

i don’t know if i have PCOS since i have normal cycles but i do have one chin hair and some hair on my neck area that’s been around since i was a child. my dermatologist thinks my testosterone is high but idk if that really means PCOS. i have really regular cycles at 25d so is it possible to have regular cycles and still have PCOS? (i’m planning on going to the doctor soon to figure it out but ya)

There are different types of pcos.
I have the type of non insulin type pcos so I don’t gain weight which is common in those with pcos. You need to talk to your doctor if you have a suspicion. Too many varieties to know what’s considered “normal”. I was having symptoms but my doctor refused to test me for 4 years because I wasn’t “big” then after finally bugging I got blood drawn and an ultrasound done that confirmed it.

Yes, you can have regular cycles and PCOS. There are multiple symptoms and only 2-3 are required for diagnosis, high testosterone and irregular cycles are common symptoms.
Additional symptoms include polycystic ovaries (though not required for PCOS diagnosis, it is the “textbook” sign of it), insulin resistance issues, and other hormonal imbalances. Your best bet at a diagnosis is blood work and a transvaginal ultrasound.
I have PCOS and had mostly irregular cycles but was able to regulate them by naturally balancing my hormones. I still had PCOS even though my cycles regulated.

Ya I had regular cycles. And ovulated the same day pretty consistently. But I had high estrogen levels and high amh levels for my age which indicated pcos in addition to random hairs as well, puffiness, and trouble losing weight. It’s suspected that I have pcos without an official diagnosis. I did not get pregnant without ivf. I also have hypothyroidism and celiac

Kind of similar. I have some chin hairs that repeatedly come back that I have to pull every so often and I feel more hairy than most females but I have super regular cycles. However my testosterone was tested and it was higher than normal so they told me I have pcos. However I have never had any other symptoms of it. Scans of my ovaries should no cysts just a few tiny follicles they said could potentially turn into one but never have. I don’t think having just high testosterone or even having a few chin hairs  is enough to diagnose PCOS.

Yes I have pcos now with cycles that normal and have 3-6 chin hairs along with other symptoms of pcos! But don’t have cyst or hormones imbalance so make sure to check out for other symptoms of pcos and stand your ground a lot of doctors say if you have regular cycles you don’t have pcos which isn’t true!

No cause with pcos u really don’t have periods or a regular cycle just cause you have one chin hair don’t mean anything. It’s wrong for you to diagnose yourself with something you don’t know for sure it’s ppl out here how have it and struggling. I have pcos and my cycle is not regular I would go months without a period into I went to my fertility doctor to help me get my cycle back on track to help me get pregnant I have lots of hairs on my neck and Chin sometimes my hormones get out of wack pcos is something I have to deal with for the rest of my life!
