Texan social media law, consequences?

Just read this article below.
I am not only seeing a technical issue (how to uphold this law? Are texan users of this app now allowed to post just anything, but others not?)
I also see a safety issue. 
I am all for free speech, however free speech is not the same as just being allowed to say everything. Admittedly it can be a thin line, but some posts, like the ones mentioned in the article, should be prohibited. 
Now people can call for violence, post photos of little children, post addresses and let's not open the can of worms regarding misinformation. (Please correct me if I misunderstood this consequence of this law)
What are your thoughts in regards to this law?

Listen texas is so damn dumb. Basically they are saying that any person who electively signs up for any social media site can bypass the terms and conditions they agreed to.. and essentially force the company to keep their posts up no matter the content?!?! 
This does not make any sense! I would stop access to anyone in Texas. I’m in Texas currently and I don’t see a reason I could even attempt to take a social media site that includes glow to court for deleting my posts. 
So if anyone commits mass murder on live streams it is that ok? Hate speech? Another insurrection plan? Anything is free game?!?

I can't imagine this will hold up in court. It infringes on the rights of the social media platform (as long as the social media platform isn't targeting a protected class).  
Imagine a store or regular business being sued for removing or banning a disruptive customer?  Constitutionally, the government cannot infringe on anyone's right to free speech.  If a business does not want to allow certain speech or serve certain customers (again, with the exception of certain protected classes), that is their right and the government cannot and should not infringe on that right.  This is no different than if I owned a shop and banned certain people. As long as I'm not banning them due to the color of their skin, nationality, religion, etc., then that's my right.

I’ve lived in Texas since I was 8. Greg Abbott has turned this place into a hellhole in only the past 2 years. I’m pretty sure that’s an all new record. I can’t imagine what this place is gonna be like if he wins re-election for another few years. It’s not like we can “just leave” either. He’s ruining a place I used to love. I’ve been sincerely hanging on to hope that things will change.

I swear Greg Abbott makes me hate him more and more each day... he doesn’t give a shit about anyone but his white, racist voters. All this crap he keeps doing is to make them happy in hopes of winning the election in November. People need to remember that we all have freedom of speech, what we don’t have is freedom from consequence. You can say whatever the fuck you want, but be prepared to get blocked, suspended or banned. Especially if you’re signing up to use a social media platform and you’re agreeing to their terms and conditions. 
Anyone who lives in Texas and is eligible to vote... please go vote. We have voting for the runoffs going on right now and November is the main election. Voting is the only way to get rid of Greg Abbott and turn Texas blue.

This is absolutely ridiculous! Whenever we sign up for a social media account you accept their policies and guidelines…maybe people need to actually read what they’re agreeing to before signing up! This is a total farce to misguide people into thinking their 1st amendment rights are being attacked. Fact of the matter is, 1st amendment protects our freedom to speak and say what we want. It does not however, protect people from the consequences of their words.

I haven’t heard about this until I read your post but I have an alternative view point to the others commenting. I’m not sure why everyone is jumping on the “hate is ok” wagon. The problem here is that conservative view points were being censored and/or deleted. Also, who decides what is considered misinformation? You couldn’t share the hunter Biden laptop story or any of the COVID stuff without being censored. Fast forward 2 years… these stories are now verified and true. This isn’t about hate this is about having a different view point and not being cancelled/censored or deleted over it. I’m pretty sure hate speech and harassment will still get flagged and deleted.

Aside from the content of this type of law, I don’t understand how this would be something the platform could manage on a state by state level. Maybe they already are in some ways? 🤷‍♀️ I don’t see how something like this could be a Texas-specific thing due to the nature of how social media is used.
That said, I think the premise of this bill or law is flawed. Most social media platforms have owners that ultimately profit from their content. Even though many people treat their social media as if it is a public service or source of news and communication it is a business that profits from having users. Business have a right to self regulation as long as they don’t break laws themselves.
If Texas wants to have this kind of connective platform for its people it should create its own platform and user agreement, and decide who can use it.

I have no issues with free speech. If it crosses the boundaries of threatening the safety of others, harms or puts children or anyone in danger, that’s when there needs to be interference and repercussions. 
What one may call misinformation is subjective, and people need to stop believing everything they read online and have discernment. Nobody (average citizen) should be responsible to do the research for you and find the truth for you. That’s putting a lot of trust and responsibility on others.
