Never when you need them

Our dog has been sick all weekend and having trouble keeping food down. She was on an antibiotic last week and it caused her to not want to eat. She’s almost 14 and I’m completely realistic about this.

Anyways, my husband and I are taking at 3:00 for an emergency appointment at my vets office. I’m not hopeful about it at all and my husband wants to be there with me. We have a 19 month old and we don’t want her there. So I asked my Dad who works from home if he could please watch her. We don’t want her there if something happens. His response was my brother has a baseball game this afternoon and with it being his potential last baseball game my Dad doesn’t want to miss it. Which I normally would understand but it’s like… my brother’s whole life he’s played baseball and it’s been “it’s his first game of this year” or “it’s his last game of this year” or “we can’t because of baseball” or “sorry we’d love to see her but he has a game”. Last year they didn’t come to her first birthday party because my brother was having is first/last away game with one of the three baseball teams he plays for.

So this one time that I really REALLY need a favor… can’t because of baseball. So my husband might have to stay home with our daughter and I’ll have to go alone. Sorry I’m just a wreck right now and I really hate baseball.
