Does Apple Watch send hourly reminders to hit your steps like Fitbit does ?

I currently have Fitbit and want to exchange for Apple watch, but I saw someone comment in an online forum that Apple Watch doesn’t send hourly reminders for steps. I know everything you read online isn’t necessarily true so I thought I’d ask here. I am very fond of that Feature on Fitbit and don’t know if I want an Apple Watch if it doesn’t have the reminders. Can someone who has one let me know ? Thank you :-)

Majority voted No but I have been getting them on mine for years
There is a setting for it which can be turn on or off to do whatever number of steps each hour

My Apple Watch gives reminders to stand up every hour at the 50 minute mark, so 12:50, 1:50, etc, which you could use that as a get up and walk around reminder.

in my experience, not hourly but it does throughout the day. there’s probably an option to change that frequency though.
