Discipline ?

So now that we’re all in the toddler stage, how are you handling discipline? Baby girl has apparently been hitting and biting other kids at daycare, especially when she’s frustrated. I’m trying to gentle parent but I don’t know how to handle this situation.

Mine went through the biting phase a few months ago.  Mainly just with me and not hard. Seemed like she was just doing it for attention or frustration. I didn’t want it to get out of hand so I did the timeouts with her  that my pediatrician recommended for discipline. Basically got really mad at her and put her in her room with door closed for about a minute. Only had to do it 2-3 times and the phase was over.

I'm having trouble with hitting with my December 2020 baby as well. His sisters didn't start until recently at 3.5 😑 my bub is mostly non verbal so it's mostly frustration and I'm not sure how to correct it because his sisters never did this

My soon to be 2 yr old was yanking out her 3 yr old sisters hair out everyday. She was pulling out by chunks and people were saying to give her time out. I gave her timeout & she still did it. I tried screaming out like I was freaked out & shocked face & that didn't help. I was frustrated trying new things people suggested. Finally I had my last straw when my 3 yr old was now missing half her hair within a month. I even asked her pediatrician for help she laughed & said "idk what you want me to do I'm not the parent" so when she said that I felt like shit. I asked an older neighbor of mine & she suggested pulling her hair right away when she pulled her sister's hair & so i did & it fucking worked. I would pull hard enough for her to let go & she hasn't pulled her out ever since. She also said to me " if she bites bite her back" lmao 🤣 
I was like omg 😲 but of course don't go biting a chunk off. Anyway just sharing my experience. I've seen some parents say that it doesn't work that way & all you're doing is causing your child pain, but in my experience she needed to see that it does hurt when she does that.

I guess model what you do, and hopefully come up with some strategies with her teachers like a sign or a place to go. Some as simple as cover your mouth or make a silly sound that mean hey I am mad or upset
