Have you given an ex a second chance?

My boyfriend and I were together for 5 years… he showed some personality problems and narcissistic tendencies… we’ve been apart for two months and he’s tried nonstop to get me back and I love him so much and miss him. But I haven’t given him a second chance, Ladies when do you know if it’s really over or should give them another chance.

You already know how the story ends, why repeat the same mistakes over and over again, narcissist do not change, they give you the impression that they did but down deep eventually they go right back to the same bullshit. My mother is a narcissist, the only time she’s nice to me as when she wants some thing then it’s right back to dumbass, idiot etc. all her wonderful name-calling that she calls me. They want you back because he’s got you wrapped around your finger and you do as he pleases, he knows he can take advantage, he knows he can flip the script and manipulate and use guilt etc. anytime I ever took an expert they made me regret it. Never again.

Two months isn't long enough for anyone to change and maintain new habits. ESPECIALLY someone with a personality disorder. He's doing whatever he can to get you back under his control and it looks like it's sort of working because you're considering it. 
Drop him. Block him. Change your number. He isn't it.

I would always recommend giving second chances, because we are all human no one is perfect. But if he is a  narcissists, I would say NO!! They never change

You describe him as having narcissistic tendencies. What does that mean? Is he abusive-mentally/physically/emotionally? Walking on eggshells wouldn’t be the lifetime relationship for me, that would be a dealbreaker. Is he doing anything to work on these behaviors? Is he self aware?

I’ve given an ex a second chance, but that doesn’t mean the story ended any differently than the first time. You’ve also already said this guy has narcissistic tendencies. Why would you even want to try getting back together with that? Narcissists don’t change.

Its what they do with that second change is what counts. I don’t think you should do it but at the end of the day it is your decision so if you choose to do so, he’s gonna need to grow as a person. He has some bad traits and I feel like we all do and that can be changed. It’s a process and I know it’s hard to want to just throw it all away but you have to make the best decision for yourself and put your foot down for changes to happen. He’s put in a lot of effort to get you back but will he put in the effort to change? If it doesn’t work out for you the second time around at least you gave it a last good try 💪🏽
