Hey guys quick question about covid. So my boyfriends family tested positive (my boyfriend lives in his own appt and wasn’t exposed thankfully) however, they all are on day 7 of covid, fully boosted and have no symptoms anymore and now leave the house to outdoor restaurants. I understand CDC says you can leave the house after day 5 of covid WITH A MASK for another 5 days. Am I crazy or is what his family is doing still wrong?? They’re all still testing positive but believe it’s only because some people keep testing positive for months after, which can be true, but aren’t even waiting the full 10 days to test.

What do you guys think? Are their chances of infecting others high? I know they’re meeting with other family members outdoors for dinner but are the chances of them giving it to others on day 7 still high? Please let me know what u guys think.
