Baby aspirin to prevent preeclampsia
Had my 16 week check up last week and my midwife asked me how I felt about taking a baby aspirin every day to prevent preeclampsia. I told her I wasn’t sure and that I would have to look into it. Mind you this is my 4th baby, I’ve never had preeclampsia or have a family history of it. When I looked up risk factors I’m at a moderate risk for preeclampsia due to age and bmi. I have to add that my blood pressure has not once been high during a check up so I’m struggling to find a need for this.. I’m very leary about taking anything during pregnancy as I won’t even take Tylenol for a headache and after researching see that taking baby aspirin can put you at an increased risk of hemorrhaging after delivery.
Just looking for other moms experiences and advice. Thanks
