Scabbed nibbles, only 4 days PP

Just had my baby 4 days ago and we had a hard time getting him to latch so my nipples are scabbed. I stopped putting him on my breasts and went to pumping and bottle feeding. I feel engorged but pumping isn't drawing much out, aboit 5-10cc every 3 hours and once I got 20cc. But I'm really sore and swollen. Is this normal or is the scabbing blocking the milk flow? Any advice? I have an ointment already
