Hi everyone , wanna ask is playpen useful or not?

From your experience would be useful for 8 months baby or not

We found it easier to have several baby gates around the house to keep him in one area/or out of some areas. we do t really have room for a playpen due to the layout of our living room.

Yes, I loved ours! So our little boy learned how to scoot around on his back using his feet at 5 months lol so he could get all over the house that way so we started using it then. When he started crawling and standing at 8-9 months we upgraded to a bigger one similar to your pic. Now he is 12 months and walking so it’s big enough he has plenty of room, but also can keep him contained when we need to shower or cook dinner

We used gates to section off parts of the house and made sure the places he might be unattended for a moment were safe. I am really not in to the idea of containing children in such a small space unless it’s for bedtime.

I have one of these play areas but in beige and it has been great for my now 2.5 yo. I have it set up in my foyer and it gives her a place to play with her toys that is safe away from the dog. All of her toys are in there and I don’t have to worry about him stealing her toys. When she was smaller I had it set up I the living room and it allowed her a safe space to play without the dog trampling all over her and she could play while I had to get stuff done. I like that this one can be made into different sizes and shapes.

I had one and rarely used it. I gave it to my sister who owns a large dog and she used it all the time! It kept baby safe from the dog and getting into all its belongings when she had to look away for a minute. It was super helpful for her when baby started crawling.

You don't really need it until they start crawling and you need to contain them. We have one but haven't put it up yet because my 7 month old can't get around yet.

Depends on you really. We gad one and it was a life saver when I was alone with our 9 month old for a while. It was safe to put her there while I was on the toilet or making food or doing laundry or whatever.
We didn't use it that long, but it was amazing for a few months.
If the child has bigger siblings or if you have pets it might also be nice.

I have had mine through 4 kids and I barely used it.
