Conception dates??

Question

I know exactly the day when I ovulated as it’s the only day I had sex in my fertile window. Can I use this as my conception date and count my weeks from there rather than my LMP? So it was 19th April, so could I say that I’m 5 weeks 2 days? Or do I have to go from my first day of last period?

Are your periods 28 days? EDD are typically based off regular 28 day cycles give or take a few days. If your cycle is irregular or greater than 30 days, I would go off conception date.
Typically they will adjust your due date accordingly if that date and ultrasound are different

Go from your last menstrual period until your dating scan. If you had sex outside of that predicted fertile window, you could’ve ovulated any of those days!

How far off is the day you ovulated/had sex vs your LMP? With my 3rd, I know the exact day I ovulated (confirmed with BBT) & baby at both ultrasounds 6 weeks & 8 weeks was measuring 3-4 days bigger than my due date based off my period. Doctor trusted me & said if you know your exact date then we’ll move up your EDD to match baby so he did. It just depends on the doc, but if it’s less than a week off they usually just use your LMP. But until you get a dating scan you won’t know how baby is measuring.
