Do you tear while giving birth ?

If you did tear comment how the healing process went for you and how long did you wait to have sex.

I had an episiotomy, cut in 2 places. Dealing with that healing was the worst part of the entire pregnancy, labor, birth, newborn phase.

I had minor tearing but because the midwife cut me to help get baby out. Had stitches and healing was fine, just wish I bought a donut pillow to sit as it was a little uncomfortable. Think we tried to have sex at 6w PP but it hurt too much. Again I think at 8w which felt like absolutely nothing so stopped again lol then again at maybe 10w which felt great like usual sex but I was swollen so felt tight, but no pain. 12w back to normal sex no pain or swelling

I had a small tear that didn’t require stitches with my son because I coughed him out and his cord was wrapped around his neck twice. The healing was definitely an experience lol. The first two weeks I wanna say were really eye opening. It hurt to pee and wipe. It probably also didn’t help that I had clobs of blood balls coming out still. Even after my six week checkup when I was cleared it probably was another week or so before we had sex again. Just take it slow and rest as much as you can.

2nd degree tear with both kids, didn't feel it happen (epidural wore out with 1st by that time and didn't have one with my second) and honestly, healing wasn't an issue for me personally. I waited to have sex til 8 weeks with my first and 6 with my second but that wasn't due to pain reasons. I felt generally good after about a week.

Mine was a grade 2 on both sides which required 10 stitches inside and out, I couldn’t bathe for weeks only shower and it stung having to wear a pad at the same time which irritated it heavily. Once the stitches came out it felt much easier, I used to have periods where I would just sit on a towel with nothing on to help with the healing and frozen pads were amazing! I didn’t have sex for 8 weeks as it was too uncomfortable. You don’t always necessarily tear it depends on how it all goes.

I only had a few minor internal tears. I believe it happened when they reached in to grab my daughter. The cord was wrapped around her neck 2x. I can't confirm but I definitely felt "something" as it happened. I had the epidural so I didn't feel pain just lots of pressure. Healing was fine and had no problems. They did become itchy during the healing process and was more annoying than anything

For 2 out of my 3 labors I tore.
Only small tears, both needing just two stitches.
Healing isn’t fun at all, but it wasn’t the worst thing tin the world.
I always waited till after 6 weeks for sex. Just have to go slow and gentle at first. Stop if it hurts
