Carter for a girl?

I am really liking the name Carter for our daughter due in a couple of weeks. I would like to get a feeling for what people will think of that. The middle name would be Kate, so Carter Kate. Her sister’s name is Hayden Ann if that makes a difference. If you don’t like it, are there any other gender neutral names you would mind sharing?

I named one of my twin boys Carter after hearing it on a tv show.  The girl in the show is named Carter, and I told my husband when we first found out that I was pregnant that I loved the name boy or girl.

Carter is the girls name in a old Disney movie with Selena Gomez where her dad protects princesses. I love it.  My girl will be Parker Jean.

I don’t usually like boy names for girls but I’ve liked it ever since I watched Finding Carter. Not sure that I would personally use it though. 
I definitely don’t like it with Kate as the middle name. I think Riley Kate would be cute.

Carter doesn’t sound gender neutral to me, it’s more of a boys name. But if you like it and hubby likes it, go for it.
