Safe days to have sex without protection?

Is there really a time where having unprotected sex with my bf less risky... I always thought that if i had like a 5 day window right after my period to have unprotected sex and the chances of pregnancy to be very low. Is there any thruth to this?

No. There is no truth to that. It depends entirely on the length of your cycle, the day of your ovulation.

​FAM is incredible - but you have to be in tune with your body and to really track all your symtoms. It is a time commitment. It is not at simple as reporting period start and end dates.

​If anything - your least fertile time is before your period.

I do not recommend FAM if your only goal is to avoid pregnancy without much hassle. FAM is an amazing way to get in touch with your body. The fact you are sometimes able to have sex without condoms is just a bonus.

Fertility Awareness does allow you to track your fertile and non fertile periods. It has a perfect use failure rate of 2% per year and a typical use failure of 10-20% (like condoms, and for the same reason-- people don't bother.) However FAM is a significant time commitment; you will need to track your BBT and cervical mucus every day without fail.

It is true that you are only fertile around a week per cycle. However you can not accurately determine which when you are fertile simply by tracking your cycle. Calendar methods have typical use failure rates around 20-30% per year. Do not use Rhythm if an unexpected pregnancy would be a problem for you.
